I am putting together an english unit for grades11/12 and I am using Frankenstein for the novel, Twilight as the movie and would like a poem to sync with those two items. Does anyone have any suggestions of the poetic kind?
Off the top of my head: Isabella; or, The Pot of Basil by John Keats is a love story with a gothic/horror twist so that might fit the bill. It's a long poem though. I'll see if I can think of any others.
I have located a great audio of Lisa Simpson erading the Raven YouTube - The Raven - Simpsons. Also video of Vincent Price. I think it might be a good way to make poetry fun! Thank you.
Last I heard he was - and remarried! Daughter2 won an english prize in memory of his first wife that he sponsored at daughters' school as his wife had been an old girl - we had morning tea with him but that was some 11 years ago!!!!!!
Perhaps not Daughter 2 as she followed science and law - maybe Daughter1 who went into journalism and teaching [ and won prize for politics at uni]!!!!! They got their beauty and intelligence from me though!

How I wonder what you are,
As the Twilight settles in Transylvania,
So it does in Lichtenstein.
Oh well....
I'll see if I can think of any others.
PS like Snowy's is great too!
I wouldn't let Bruce Dawe hear you say that. Haven't heard of him for years. I presume he's still in Toowoomba.
Yes, well he's only 79 so why not.
So, you inherited your English skills from Daughter2. Was wondering where you got them from..
Memo to self, <Tread very, very softly here, Snowy>
