Happy thought number 4 is that my brain is a blank tonight. No guilt, no voices, no sadness, no recriminations, no lists, no nothing. No thoughts at all. Emptiness. Thoughtlessness. Peace. Lightness.
WHAT did you take to get yourself into this wonderful state? My mind is usually pandemonioum, but when I lead my yoga/pilates class through a meditation, I usually have a few seconds of peace. especially if I've given them a killer workout.
Have you tried lying on the floor, with your butt up (directly on) the wall and your legs resting against the wall above you in a "V"? It's very relaxing and helps with sleep.
I was trying all day to settle on what my happy thought was for the day and couldn't - it was then that I realised I was an empty vessel and so that was my happy thought.
I am going to try your legs up the wall pose - but if the wind changes and I get stuck in that position I am going to hunt you down! My husband should enjoy it either way!
