I visited Dooce's blog (http://www.dooce.com/) and read how she told told her daughter that she is going to have a little brother or sister. Her daughter asked how they were going to get the baby out. The story reminded me of a friend of Daughter 1, a very modern Mum who has read all the books on weaning, potty training and sibling rivalry but nothing prepared her for that moment when Miss Three asked how the new baby got out of Mummy's tummy...Mum found she wasn't quite prepared for a talk on the facts of life so in blind panic blurted "Mummy sort of pooped her out" which seemed to satisfy Miss Three.

The problem now is, if Miss Three spies Mum on the toilet she has to check out the toilet for the possibility of new siblings!

LOL. I remember back when I was at school being told by some friends (who had asked one of their mums what giving birth was like) that it was like doing a great, big poo.

Kind of a great answer for the age of the child asking. Too many people go into way too much detail and the poor little kids want just a simple answer. LOL
