rosella, not rosella....oh rosella!

Well, I'm glad you sorted that out, FD. I always did wonder why those birds tasted so sweet.
Oh - you are making me homesick! I will have to get my mother to send me a care package. Of jam not the bird........
Beautiful flower and bird. I've always loved the Rosellas (bird) and other keets of Australia. Interesting about being able to eat the Rosella flower plants. Confusing though if you just mention Rosella - I would have thought of the parrot.
That was very interesting. Wish I could grow rosella here and then have some rosellas sit in my rosella.
lol - interesting idea
Snowy, you must thank your lucky starts that I came into your life, to impart all this important information to you. I have no idea how you survived this long without me!
Surely that is the least a mother can do! If she does send the birds, I believe they are nice roasted or in soups.....pluck the feathers first.
everyone thinks of the bird first, and knowing my German ancestry and how we were raised waste not want not, friends are not quite sure if I am actually referring to the birds! LOL!
a little bit of sweet and savoury?
I have actually spied a couple of the rosella birds in our garden, but none in the rosella plants yet! I will keep my camera ready just in case!
How wonderful to live where you can see such colorful creatures and grow such useful and beautiful plants. A photo of rosellas in the rosellas would be awesome!!
[this is good]
How cool..never heard of rosella before!!

Must get my hands on some..jam.
