what do you take? Right now I go back and forth between meds, and ice packs and heat packs.
it sucks.
Do you get an aura? I see stars-but it's like 36 hours BEFORE the migraine begins.

For about 24 hours before I get really agitated, hot wired and irritated and then it hits. Sometimes I can ward it off with a really strong coffee. I don't get an aura, I get a pain behind my right eye (which isn't even there for goodness sake). If I can I go to my physiotherapist for a session on my neck and other trigger points in my back. I don't tolerate codeine all that well but I can take Mersyndol Forte - the night time one - but it usually takes 2 doses of 2 tablets before I get real relief. I do use heat packs, and ice gel eye packs. Mersyndol tends to make me a bit down the next day, or maybe that is the aftermath of the headache I don't know. Once or twice I have been given Lexapro and that has helped too but of course is heavily regulated.
My son uses Neruofen Plus for his headaches - his are more regular than mine. He has also been given Endep.
